These layouts were done so long ago that they only have my first 2 girls in them.

July Journaling Challenge

How many of you keep a journal?

I use to write lots of things down when I was scrapbooking but since then I have been very slack :(

While looking on the internet late one night (really should have been creating LOL ) I came across Emily's blog..... she has set a journaling challenge for the month of July.

So I went out and bought a few books for myself and my girls so we could give this journaling challenge a go :)

I have done the journaling part but I haven't yet transferred it to my book....slack I know.

The girls (11),(9) and (3) are having a great time going through all of my scrapbooking bits and pieces and adding them to their journals.

What sort of craft?

*How many of you find time in the day to create?

*Are you like me who grabs every spare moment in the day?

I stay up late at night after everyone else in the house are asleep and create :)

*What types of craft do you all do??

I give every type of craft ago......scrapbooking, long stitch, hair clip making, necklaces, anything out of paper, recycle arts and craft and the list goes on :)

I have recently learnt to crochet!


My first crocheted heart

 

I really loved the look of the ripple blankets that seem to be all the rave at the moment.

For some reason I was struggling to crochet back into the chain (feeling rather silly) I could crochet in the round, make hearts and flowers but couldn't get the hang of going back into the chain. Today I had a break through....thank goodness LOL

Not only did I manage to stitch back into the chain I also followed the ripple pattern and made a small sample of 4 rows.... YAY! Now just to get to Spotlight to pick some colours so that I can get started :)
